Terms of Service.

01Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and SportGang ("we", "us"). SportGang helps adults find sports partners and coordinate real-world sports sessions at a basic level — agreeing on a sport, a time, and a place to meet.

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

02Eligibility

You must be old enough to enter into a contract under the law of your country of residence to create a SportGang account. SportGang is intended for adults coordinating sports activity in person. By signing up, you confirm that the information you provide about yourself is accurate and that you meet the eligibility rules in your jurisdiction.

03Account responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of the profile information you provide (display name, sport, level, suburb, photos, bio).
• The security of your sign-in credentials. Don't share your password.
• Activity that occurs under your account, including chats you send and reports you submit.

If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, contact us through the Support page and change your password.

04Acceptable use

SportGang is a sports-partner community. When you use it, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or stalk another user.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Post sexually explicit content, hate speech, or content that incites violence.
• Use the app for any illegal activity or in violation of applicable laws.
• Send commercial spam, recruit users for unrelated services, or scrape the platform.
• Attempt to bypass safety controls (block, report) or evade moderation actions.

Violations may lead to suspension or permanent termination of your account, with or without notice.

05Sports activity and real-world meeting risks

Sports activity carries inherent physical risk. Meeting strangers in person carries personal-safety risk. You are solely responsible for your decisions about whether to meet another user, where to meet, the activity you choose, and your conduct during the session. We recommend the safety guidelines on our Support page.

06User conduct and safety

You agree to use the app's report and block tools, rather than off-platform retaliation, when another user behaves badly. We may review reported content for moderation purposes.

If something goes wrong in real life — for example, if you feel unsafe at a session — leave the session and, if appropriate, contact local emergency services. SportGang cannot dispatch help.

07Chat and user content

You retain ownership of the content you post — display name, profile photos, bio, chat messages, and reports. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display that content for the duration of your account, solely so we can operate the app (deliver your messages, show your profile to matched players, review your reports for moderation).

You are responsible for the content you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, anything that violates §4, or anything you wouldn't want a moderator or another user to see.

08Sessions and coordination

SportGang gives you a place to agree on a sport, a time, and a meeting location with a matched player. We are not a venue, a gym, a tour operator, a booking platform for third-party courts, or a guarantor of any session.

We make no promise that:

• A matched player will respond to your messages.
• A matched player will turn up to a session.
• A specific court, venue, or facility will be available, open, or charge what you expect.
• A session will run on time, end on time, or be free of injury.

You are responsible for confirming the venue, paying any fees the venue requires, and managing the session itself.

09Reports, blocks, and moderation

We may, at our discretion, suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine pose a safety risk to other users. We may, but are not required to, respond to every report we receive. Action on one report is not a precedent for action on another.

Block actions are user-controlled and effective immediately: a blocked user cannot match with you, message you, or see your profile.

10Account deletion and termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete my account in the app. Deletion is permanent.

We may also suspend or terminate your account if:

• You materially violate these Terms.
• We are legally required to do so.
• We reasonably believe your account is being used to harm other users.

Termination doesn't refund any fees (the v1 app is free to use; this clause exists in case fees are introduced later).

11Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SportGang is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app, including any session you arrange through it. Our total liability to you arising from these Terms or the app is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be limited or excluded.

12Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll bump the effective date and notify users in the app or on this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
