01Contact support
For anything that needs a real human, send us a message. We read every one. The canonical support address for the SportGang app and this website will be published here when the public app launch is announced.
When you write in, please include:
The email address on your SportGang account.
What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
Screenshots, if you have them.

02Report a user
If another user is behaving inappropriately — harassment, spam, impersonation, anything that violates our acceptable use rules — report them from inside the app:
Open your chat with that user.
Tap the ⋯ More options button in the chat header.
Choose Report.
Pick a reason from the list. Add optional context if it helps.
Tap Submit report.
You'll see a confirmation: "Thanks for helping keep SportGang safe. We'll review this user." Reports are not shown to the reported user.
03Block a user
Blocking stops a user from contacting or matching with you. To block someone:
Open your chat with that user.
Tap the ⋯ More options button in the chat header.
Choose Block.
Confirm in the dialog.
You'll see a confirmation: "User blocked. You won't be matched or contacted by this user." Blocking is reversible inside the app; if you need help unblocking and the in-app option isn't enough, contact us using the channel in §1.
04Delete your account
You can delete your SportGang account at any time, from inside the app:
Open the Profile tab.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
Read the confirmation. Tap Delete account to proceed.
Deletion is permanent. Your profile, photos, and chat history are removed in line with our Privacy Policy. Some data may be retained for safety and legal reasons (see retention).
05Privacy and data requests
For a copy of your data, a correction, or a confirmation that your account has been deleted, contact us using the channel in §1, sending the request from the email address on your account. Include:
What you're asking for (export, correction, deletion confirmation).
Any relevant identifiers — for example, the email on your account.
The Privacy Policy covers what we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it.
06Safety guidelines
SportGang is for finding partners to play sports with. When you decide to meet someone in person, we recommend:
Meet in public. Pick a public court, gym, or running route — not a private address — until you've met before.
Tell a friend. Share where you're going, who you're meeting, and roughly when you'll be back.
Trust your gut. If something feels off in chat, leave the conversation. If something feels off in person, leave the session.
Use the in-app tools. Report or block — that's why they're there.
Don't share financial details. SportGang doesn't ask for payment, bank details, or crypto. Anyone in chat who does is misusing the platform — report them.
Emergencies. SportGang cannot dispatch help. If you feel unsafe and you're in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
07FAQ
What sports does the app support today?
v1 supports gym, golf, tennis, and running. More sports may be added based on community demand; we'll announce them when they ship.
Is the app available outside Sydney?
Sydney first. Other cities aren't actively supported in v1, although the suburb you enter during onboarding is free-text. Coverage may expand based on demand and how the matching feed performs.
Why can't I see a profile I expected to see?
Either you haven't matched with that user yet, the two of you don't share a sport, or one of you has blocked the other. Blocked users are mutually invisible by design.
Can SportGang guarantee someone will show up?
No. SportGang helps users connect and coordinate sports sessions, but we cannot guarantee that every user will respond, attend, or that a venue will be available. Use the in-app chat to confirm details before you play.
Does SportGang use my location?
No. v1 doesn't request foreground or background location. Matching uses the suburb you typed into onboarding. See Privacy §7 for details.
How do I change my email or password?
Contact us using the channel in §1, from the email address on your account, and we'll help. A self-serve flow is on the roadmap.
08Response time
We aim to respond as quickly as we can. Reports about safety or harassment are prioritized. If you don't hear back within a reasonable window, follow up on the same thread — replies sometimes get filtered.
09Support channel
The canonical support channel for SportGang is the same channel referenced from the app's in-app Support link and from App Store Connect's "App Review Contact" form. The exact contact address will be published here when the public app launch is announced.
